My Top 3 Fragrances

Long time no blog! The time has come for me to finish college (thank god) and now aside from having a part time job I have much more time on my hands to do what I love doing - blogging! Now, I have so much I want to talk about but I decided to start off by talking about perfumes, 3 of my favourites. I am a massive perfume lover and have been since I can remember. Even when I was a little girl I was always asking my mum to buy me body sprays and sneakily spritzing myself in her DKNY. My preference in scents have definitely changed and matured over the years and I'm sure they will continue to change, but these are my current top 3.. in no particular order:

  • DKNY Pure Vanilla
This perfume is one of those smells that hold so many memories for me. They remind me of the year that I started my first ever part time job and waiting for the bus to get there with butterflies in my stomach because I knew I was going to be on shift with someone I really fancied (whom is now my boyfriend FYI!) It reminds me of listening to Michael Bublé because I wore it mainly in the winter time. This is what I love about perfumes the most; the fact that along with smelling lovely they can attach memories along with them. This perfume actually comes in different scents: Vanilla, Verbena and Rose. Vanilla is by far my favourite. The top notes are Ugandan vanilla, dewdrop floral petals, lotus and bulgarian rose. The heart notes are jasmine, freesia and orchid, and finally the base notes are white amber, sandalwood and vanilla in water. Beautiful! I have the 100ml bottle and I only really like to wear it in the winter.
  • Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber
I first discovered this scent after smelling it on my friend one day in the Summertime last year and instantly I knew I had to have it. That very day I went to the Jo Malone counter in Selfridges and bought it. It is so fresh and I have had so many compliments on it. It has Top notes of apple, bergamot and jasmine, heart notes of cucumber, angelica and davana; and has base notes of vanilla, beeswax, cedar and musk. It is recommended for the Autumn/Winter months but I much prefer it for Spring/Summer. I have the 30ml bottle.
  • Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche
This is a popular fragrance for a reason! It's simply divine. I have been savouring every drop of this since I got it (mostly because it is expensive!) and only wear it for special occasions. This is my signature scent when I go out and it also has some great memories attached to it. The top notes are lemon and cedar, the heart notes are pink pepper, water hyacinth and jasmine, and the base notes are teak wood, iris, amber, patchouli, vetiver and white musk.. wow! I do really love this fragrance in the Summer which is when it is recommended for but I do also wear it all year round. I have the 30ml bottle of this and it has lasted me ages. I highly recommend this as it is a classic!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite perfumes! I think you can tell I love fresh scents. I would LOVE to know your top fragrances so leave me a comment and tell me what yours are.
Thanks for reading!
