Hey guys! Today I wanted to show you some items that were sent to me by the lovely people at Petshop.co.uk who, you guessed it, are an online pet shop. They have thousands of items for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish and more! They sell food, toys, beds, bowls and the list goes on and on. But firstly, let me introduce you to my doggies!

In the image at the top eating the food we have Rosie, she is a 5 year old West Highland Terrier. (Although she doesn't look like one at the moment because we took her to a new groomer and she shaved off all of her hair!! She usually has a lovely fluffy face.) She is the cheekiest dog you'll ever meet and is extremely loving, friendly and affectionate. She loves playing with her toys, especially squeaky ones and her her favourite thing in the world is playing fetch! She constantly wants fuss and will try everything in her power to get you to throw her ball for her and she will eat just about anything you put in front of her.

Chloe looking pretty as ever!
This is Chloe! Chloe is my baby, even though she is 14! She is also a West Highland Terrier and she is the strongest little doggy I've ever seen, she has been through so much. She has skin problems, is now completely deaf and is partially sighted. A few months back now we nearly lost her as she developed Pyometra which almost killed her. I rushed her to the vets as soon as I knew she wasn't well - she refused to eat anything and could barely stand up. The vet was absolutely amazing and managed to save her life through surgery. After the surgery however we thought we would lose her again as she developed peritonitis which is an infection. Thankfully she recovered from this and eventually began eating again. After a while though her stomach never really settled and has a strict diet of prescription dog food, anything else she will just vomit back up. But now she is back on track and is my lovely happy dog again. I love her to pieces and she means so much to me and my whole family. Just look at that beautiful face! She's my little fighter.

The first thing we tried was this wet dog food, I thought it was unbranded but looking at the website it is by Huntland and I think it is either chicken or turkey. I just used half of the pack and mashed it up and mixed it with some of the dry dog food biscuits we were given. The dry dog food biscuits are called Huntland - Grain Free. They're Scottish Loch Salmon biscuits with River Trout and Sweet Potato. Rosie absolutely LOVED it. She wolfed the whole lot down as fast as she could possibly could. I just give her half of the wet food a day and leave the other half for the next day and mix it with a handful of biscuits. Like I said Chloe can only really eat her prescription food so she wasn't able to try this unfortunately, but I'm sure she would have loved it too.

Next up we tried both of the dogs with the Dentastix. I had never given my dogs anything like these before so I was interested to see what they would do with them. I decided to try Chloe with one to see if she could eat it and she went straight in to tackle it and surprisingly she was able to keep most of it down. She vomited just a tiny bit when she had three quarters of it however I was impressed she could have that much. When I tried Rosie with one at first she was scared of it! - She is such a scaredy cat. However once she realised it was food she couldn't get enough of it and ate the whole thing very quickly.

Lastly we have the Pro Plan biscuits. I really wasn't sure if these were treats or dry food to mix in with wet food so just to be safe I thought I'd try them as just treats and this seems to be going really really well! Chloe can actually eat them, I give her quite a few of them a day and she hasn't vomited once and Rosie can't get enough of them. I will continue to give them as treats because they like them so much.

So to conclude, all of the items were a complete success and are on their way to be completely gobbled up so I will have to be making a big purchase soon! Thank you so much to the lovely people at Petshop.co.uk you have made two doggies very happy pooches and one very happy owner! I highly recommend this site they have excellent items, prices and service so give them a try.

Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact biscuits we were given but here's a link to a bag of similar dry food.

  1. i love your dogs!
mines 12, and she's been really poorly recently, so we've been trying her on different foods; i do like the options you've got! I usually stick to one thing, one brand, definitely need to branch out a bit i think! xx

  3. Oh my! Your dog is too cute!
I'm always worried about trying new brands of food as a lot have additives in them.
