A Few Words

Sometimes it's like writing how you really feel is just too dangerous, you feel like making your words more cryptic and poetic may disguise the actual issue you want to talk about and maybe your readers can interpret it how they like. When your head hits the pillow at night the thoughts dance around your mind until they become more of a loose entanglement of so many things that have bothered you today that you simply cannot pin point a single reason for you being left feeling so discontented. Frustrated.

You're too proud to profess it all in such clarity but take comfort in the ambiguity in your words because being so publicly vulnerable is daunting, right? You hope that every expressive word evokes power and meaning to not just yourself. You write about them, ineffable them and then you delete it all and start over. You find ways to over complicate just about anything until you can't even remember what you began with now you have so many new things you want to say from your erratic, tangential scribblings. You abandon all safe harbours at the risk of sounding melodramatic but doing it anyway because you're impassioned, inspired and frankly just don't give a shit anymore.

Giving a shit holds you back from so much and you finally realise that opening your heart and writing what you feel isn't so dangerous after all.
